Last week, Appeals Centre Europe announced that it had been certified as an out-of-court dispute resolution body by the Irish media regulator, Coimisiún na Meán. This means that the Appeals Centre is approved to begin reviewing cases brought under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) related to social media platforms. The Appeals Centre will start receiving disputes from users in the EU about content on YouTube, TikTok and Facebook later this year.
Cinder is proud to support the Appeals Centre and enable this work through our content review platform. We know firsthand how difficult Trust & Safety decisions can be and that proper tooling is critical to making them effectively and accurately. Platforms, regulators, and the Appeals Centre face the critical challenge of keeping users safe online; at Cinder, we are proud to be part of their solutions.
